When deciding how to package hampers we were so careful in maintaining our ethos of being as environmentally aware as possible.
The traditional hampers you’ve probably seen over the years are fully covered in some sort of plastic shrink wrap or cellophane. We wanted to avoid this like the plague! As a result, you won’t find any of the ‘plastic fantastic’ packaging here but fully eco-friendly wood wool and some decorative ribbons.
After much deliberation, we have come up with three different packaging options that we hope will meet everyone’s needs:
The cardboard tray – A cost effective option, which looks crisp and smart without breaking the bank. It is 100% recyclable and strong enough to be reused many times over!
The ‘classic’ wicker lidded baskets – This traditional option is great for the bigger hampers as it can hold so many items or allows for beautiful presentation with just a few select choices. The added bonus with this option is that the basket can be reused for picnics in the park, days at the beach or, as in our family, a place to store all of those dinosaur toys – don’t ask!
The luxury handmade wooden crate – Looking for an extra ‘wow’? This will certainly deliver! Locally handmade wooden crates from Hayman Joinery give your hamper a unique finish that you will struggle to find elsewhere. As far as I know (I may have to be corrected!), we are the only hamper business who can supply these handmade crates as an option for your hamper. We are so proud to be able to offer them to our customers! Reuse these for years as rustic ornamental storage – they look great in a larder or displayed in your kitchen!
